Product Image

"Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen is simply brilliant in this uncompromising drama. Covered in tattoos, the word RESPECT inked in four inch letters on the back of his shaven skull, his character Tonny is the type you'd cross a motorway to avoid." BBC Movies "Sticks so close to its rogues' gallery of gangsters, suckers and murderous megalomaniacs that you can almost taste the hate and smell the stomach wounds." New York Times "Part of a trilogy about Copenhagen criminals, this one features a terrific performance by a Vin-Diesel lookalike who runs rings around the American actor in ability." Compuserve "There's virtually no limit to how far Mikkelsen's sorry, sad character will go when he's pushed, and the story ends on a very chilling note." Cinema Signals

Synopsis
PUSHER II tells the story of Tonny, (Mads Mikkelsen from "Casino Royale") a petty hood from the Copenhagen underworld whose previous run-in with a baseball bat has left his mind addled and unreliable.  Having just been released from prison, Tonny tries to bring order to his life and gain the respect of his father, the Duke, a notorious gangster who appears to have nothing but contempt for his son. Tonny soon learns that nothing in this new life comes easy.  Trying to repay a debt held over from prison, he makes misstep after misstep, running further afoul of the Duke.  On top of it all, Tonny must contribute to the upbringing of a baby boy who may or may not be his own.  Battling the scorn of all around him as well as his own drug-fuelled delirium, Tonny must forge a path toward some form of redemption, or perish in the attempt.
